WPA AGM Evening Reception

This year’s WPA AGM Evening Reception took place at The Howard de Walden Estate’s flagship Hale House – 38,000 sq ft of cutting-edge workspace in Marylebone for London’s thriving Health-tech sector. 

120 guests gathered to hear from the newly appointed WPA Chair, James Raynor, Chief Executive, Grosvenor Property UK and mark the appointment of Dan Nicholson, Executive Director, GPE as Vice Chair.  

James set out the Association’s business priorities for the year ahead, which include: 

  1. Help deliver a thriving and prosperous Westminster by promoting the role of the property sector in creating both near and long-term socio-economic success. 
  2. Pioneer a sustainable future Westminster by supporting the delivery of sustainable development and amplifying the sector’s role in a low carbon future.
  3. Enable a more inclusive and equitable Westminster for all by supporting members and stakeholders in the creation of a more diverse and equitable City.

Keynote speaker, Jules Pipe CBE, Deputy Mayor for Planning and Regeneration provided an update on the London Plan and its role in supporting the Mayor of London’s ambitious growth agenda. He highlighted the Greater London Authoritys commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth and the importance of avoiding complacency when it comes to maintaining London’s global status. 

Speakers also included Mark Kildea, Chief Executive, The Howard de Walden Estate and Holly Harrington, WPA NextGen Committee member & Development Manager, GPE.
