Members information
CPA/WPA members have willingly provided us with contact details to ensure they are kept informed with CPA/WPA activities and news. We will never use your stored email addresses for any other purpose than to send CPA/WPA news and activity updates. After being accepted for membership of the Association’s, members are asked to provide emails and names of those that they wish to have on the database, we occasionally contact all members ensuring that this information is up to date.

Operations
We keep contact details and related information on our suppliers and stakeholders – information in which we need to contact them, pay and invoice them.

Events
We keep contact details and related information on organisations and individuals that we have invited to events, or that we believe might want to attend our events, either as speakers or attendees.

Research
We keep contact details and related information on organisations and individuals who can or do contribute to our research projects, including academics and researchers, politicians and policy makers and business, public and third sector experts.

Communications
We keep contact details and related information on organisations and individuals with an interest in our activities. These include journalists and other public affairs and communications professionals, politicians and policy makers, academics and researchers and members of the general public who have expressed an interest in our work. When you subscribe to our newsletter, you are consenting for us to send you CPA/WPA email updates, including our newsletter, new reports and event invites. By signing up to our email updates, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of our mailing list provider MailChimp.com (http://mailchimp.com/legal/terms/). You can unsubscribe from our mailing list by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email we send you or by emailing team@cwpa.org.uk letting us know to unsubscribe you from future newsletter communications.

Our Data Policies
Not signing individuals up to our newsletter or other regular mailings, unless they request it or agree to it, other than where an individual has shown a strong interest in or commitment to CPA/WPA work – e.g. sponsors, research partners and members of our advisory boards or regular attendees at our events. Not share data with other parties without the express permission of the individual. Only record information that is strictly necessary for the purposes for which data is collected and in particular will not record personal or speculative judgments about individuals. Make available all data we hold about an individual to the individual when requested. Make it easy to opt out of our communications, including newsletter subscription and events invitations and requests for funding, through prominent “unsubscribe” options Keep data secure by maintaining high levels of security and reviewing security policy on a regular basis.

Be transparent about the purposes for which we collect data and how we use it, including by making this policy available on our website. Ensure all staff are familiar with our data protection policies and comply with them. Ensure our policies are regularly reviewed and kept up-to-date and compliant with GDPR. Forbid all staff from using personal data for non CPA/WPA related activities or from taking personal data with them when they leave the companies.

Cookies
