Net zero workspaces in Westminster: Closing the carbon performance gap

Hosted in partnership with Westminster City Council this seminar explored the most impactful ways to reduce operational carbon emissions and improve the way we use our buildings. 

Hosted by JLL, guests heard from Dr Amy Jones (Director for Environment and Climate Change, Westminster City Council) who provided an update on the Sustainable City Charter. This was followed by an overview on carbon reduction case studies by Jason Smallwood (Technical Director, WSP UK).

The most impactful ways to drive down building emissions discussed by a panel of experts included: 

  • Ongoing engagement between occupiers and landlords
  • Regular monitoring of energy use
  • Simplifying the complex language around Sustainability
