WPA members are invited to this breakfast seminar that will explore the findings of a key research report, ‘West End Good Growth’, that examines growth options for the West End over the next 20 years.

The report, jointly commissioned by the Greater London Authority (GLA) and Westminster City Council, comes at a critical time for the West End. As the beating heart of our global capital, growth and change is vital but politicians and the industry need to work together with local communities to safeguard prosperity. This report, authored by Arup, shows that without good growth in the West End office floor space could face a dramatic decline.

After an initial presentation by Arup to outline the report’s key findings, members will be able to hear from a panel of industry leaders and representatives from the GLA and Westminster City Council, who will discuss how to support good growth; how the industry and public sector can work together to achieve this; and what the next steps need to be.

Speakers include:

Louise Duggan, North West Area Manager (Regeneration and Economic Development) at Greater London Authority
Alexander Jan, Director and Chief Economist at Arup
Greg Ward, Director of Economy (Growth, Planning and Housing) at Westminster City Council

This seminar is a part of our Good Growth work stream that was established with the launch of our ‘Building Trust: Insight Paper on Good Growth’  last year.
