WPA has commissioned a survey that has revealed significant support for the continuation of al fresco dining measures in the West End. Respondents were questioned on their experience and views of al fresco, with specific questions on their habits when dining al fresco in the West End. The survey of 1000 Londoners has shown that:
- 66% of al fresco diners would likely go shopping while in the West End
- 63% of al fresco diners would likely visit a museum or gallery and 58% of diners would go to the cinema as a result of al fresco
- Younger people and ethnically diverse residents are 47% more likely to visit the West End if it offers al fresco dining.
