Webinar: Homes for Westminster

12 May 2021 to 12 May 2021
10:30 am to 11:15 am

The number one objective of the new Westminster City Plan is to “increase the stock of high-quality housing and… promote mixed and inclusive communities, with a clear focus on affordability and family homes.” With limited land supply and rising development costs – how can Westminster’s property industry and its civic leaders work together to achieve this shared ambition?

This Westminster Property Association (WPA) webinar explores the key opportunities and challenges for increasing the number of homes in Central London, especially the affordable and intermediate homes needed in Westminster.

An expert panel discusses the key areas for housing growth in Westminster, the City Council’s own estate regeneration programme and exciting new opportunities created by tech and industry innovations. They discuss whether Westminster’s housing needs have shifted following the pandemic, and the changing policy landscape – including the new Westminster City Plan, and the London Mayor’s plans to prioritise key workers in accessing new intermediate homes.
