WPA members, political leaders, and their guests came together at the 37th WPA Annual Lunch to celebrate the role of Westminster and real estate in delivering Good Growth.
Guests were welcomed by WPA Chair, James Raynor (CEO, Grosvenor Property) who in his speech described central London as the engine of the nation’s economy, highlighting that it is Westminster that keeps it firing, generating nearly £100bn of economic output a year, billions of which are generated directly by WPA members.
This was followed by a keynote from former British Ambassador to the United States and former British Representative to the EU, Lord (Kim) Darroch. Lord Darroch reflected on geopolitical shifts and their impact on London.
At the lunch, we also hosted ambassadors from our charity partners Young Westminster Foundation and 2-3 Degrees, with Oyin Olaoshun a Senior Programme Manager at 2-3 Degrees closing the event.
