This WPA breakfast seminar will explore the future of the West End.

Sitting in the heart of the City of Westminster, the West End is London’s most iconic shopping and cultural district and is home to some of the world’s most famous streets and landmarks, including Oxford Street, Regent Street, Bond Street, Piccadilly Circus and Carnaby Street.

While changing consumer behaviour and the fall out of the pandemic contributed to a proliferation in low quality retailers, exciting occupiers are moving to the area and demand for best-in-class office space in the West End has soared, resulting in record low vacancy rates amidst a limited future pipeline.

To secure the West End’s future, a combination of private and public sector collaboration and investment, including a partnership between Westminster City Council and the property industry, spearheaded by the New West End Company and The Crown Estate, will help to transform the public realm and improve the visitor experience as part of the Oxford Steet Programme and Regent Street Public Realm Vision.

Hosted in partnership with the New West End Company, this breakfast seminar will discuss recent proposals to transform the public realm and the policy and planning landscape that are pivotal to the ongoing success of the area.
