We have made the decision to postpone the Sustainable City Charter Summer Showcase.
This decision has not been made lightly. We place significant value on this event and the opportunity it provides for partners and stakeholders to come together. However, the Met Office’s rare red warning for extreme heat, with temperatures expected to reach around 40°C, means it would not be safe or responsible to proceed as planned.
Under the Sustainable City Charter initiative, WPA and Westminster City Council will host its third annual Summer Showcase. This interactive breakfast session will explore how circularity is shaping the operation of Westminster’s built environment and supporting its transition towards becoming a net zero city by 2040.
Hosted at RSA House, the HQ of Sustainable City Charter signatory the Royal Society of Arts, the event will bring together businesses and property professionals from across Westminster to share ideas on how circular economy principles can be embedded in the day-to-day use of buildings to reduce carbon emissions.
The event will feature a series of themed roundtable discussions hosted by industry experts which will focus on different aspects of circular economy in building operations. There will be a number of signatory stalls showcasing the variety of services available via the Charter toolkit. Stalls and speakers to be announced.
