WPA members and stakeholders were welcomed back to our Annual WPA Lunch at the Grosvenor House Hotel on 18 November.
The 2021 keynote address was delivered by Sir Charlie Mayfield. Sir Charlie is the former Chairman of the John Lewis Partnership (2007 – 2020) and UK Commission for Employment & Skills (2010 – 2017), and is Founder and Chair of ‘Be The Business’: a business-led but Government-backed organisation aimed at driving productivity in UK businesses of all sizes.
Sir Charlie shone a light on the country’s productivity challenges whilst achieving Covid recovery, and on the role of new technologies and worker engagement in the future of UK cities.
WPA’s Chair Paul Williams (Derwent London) thanked members for their continued support and noted the extraordinary opportunity and energy that has been sparked by the return of workers to the West End. You can read his full speech here.
