This breakfast seminar will explore how planning policy can help unlock development, attract investment and ensure Westminster remains competitive in an increasingly challenging global market.

Featuring a keynote address from Cllr Tim Barnes, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Growth and Planning at Westminster City Council, on the Council’s vision for growth and its approach to delivering the workspace, development and infrastructure needed to support Westminster’s future success. A panel discussion will then explore how the City Council and industry can work together to increase the supply of modern office space, support investment and deliver sustainable growth while balancing heritage, environmental objectives and build thriving communities.

The event will be hosted at Thirty High, a major refurbishment and extension of a 1960s Brutalist building on the doorstep of Victoria station. Landsec has transformed one of the area’s first high-rise towers, Portland House, into 265,000 sq ft of sustainable prime office space, alongside extensive occupier amenities and a rooftop restaurant and bar.

Date:                Tuesday 15 September
Time:                8:00am – 10:00am
