Historic Westminster, Future Growth: Evening reception

22 Jul 2026 to 22 Jul 2026
6:00 pm to 8:00 pm

Westminster is home to nearly 11,000 listed buildings, making it one of the most significant concentrations of historic built assets in the country. This evening reception, held in partnership with Historic England, will explore how heritage can support growth, attract investment and create successful places.

Following the launch of Historic England’s new five-year strategy, guests will hear from Co-Chief Executive Claudia Kenyatta CBE on how heritage can act as a catalyst for economic development, place-making and long-term prosperity.

The reception will be held at Church House Westminster, the Grade II-listed home of the General Synod. Steeped in history, the building served as the meeting place of the House of Lords during the Second World War and hosted the first session of the UN Security Council. Guests will gather in Bishop Partridge Hall, before enjoying drinks on the terrace overlooking Dean’s Yard – a private cobbled square nestled between Westminster Abbey and Westminster School.

The reception will bring together property professionals, policymakers and heritage leaders for an evening of canapés and drinks in this historic site at the heart of a global city.
