Westminster Property Association and Westminster Conservatives are hosting a fringe panel discussion at Conservative Party Conference on how real estate investment and development can support economic growth while delivering tangible benefits for local communities.
The discussion, featuring Cllr Elizabeth Campbell (Leader of Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea) and Cllr Paul Swaddle OBE (Leader of Westminster City Council), will explore how the public and private sectors can work together to fund affordable housing for key workers, improve schools and health centres, and create high-quality public spaces. As the local authority covering the economic heart of London, Westminster City Council is working closely with businesses and the property industry to drive investment, support jobs and strengthen the West End and wider central London economy.
Bringing together leaders from politics, business and the property industry, the panel will showcase successful partnerships that are delivering good growth in central London. It will also examine how Conservative-led councils and the national party can work with the private sector to replicate these successes and strengthen local economies across the country.
The event is inside the secure zone and a conference pass is required to attend. Please RSVP to william.green@cwpa.org.uk if you would like to attend, and we will share the location details with you.
