This interactive breakfast session, under the Sustainable City Charter initiative brought together over 130 people from across Westminster’s businesses to collaborate, network and share best practice to reduce carbon emissions from the way we use our buildings.
Hosted at London Zoo, guests heard from Westminster City Council’s Cabinet Member for Climate Action, Ecology, Culture and Air Quality, Cllr Ryan Jude on the work the City Council is doing to reach its net zero 2040 goal. Following this, guests took part in a knowledge sharing session with different themed roundtables led by property experts, focussing on different topics such as green leases and energy and waste solutions.
Matthew Gould, Chief Executive Officer of the Zoological Society of London, closed the session with an inspirational speech on the impact of climate change on nature and species around the world, and the role Westminster plays in representing best practice.
