WPA

A clear voice with Westminster City Council

WPA is the counter-party of choice in discussing property and planning matters with the property industry. (WPA does not as a rule, however, take up individual cases).

A recent survey of members showed that WPA members own or manage 71% of commercial, 26% of residential and 44% of retail building stock in Westminster.

Representations to other public bodies

We make representations to the Mayor and the Government on behalf of our members.

Links with other representative bodies

We maintain close links with London First, Central London Forward, the City Property Association and the BPF, and liaise with them the most effective way of furthering our members’ interests.

Networking

Our Annual Lunch at the end of November is a key event in the property calendar. We have high profile speakers and the event is attended by up to a thousand people. Our AGM and reception in the early spring is an opportunity for our members to meet Westminster City Councillors and officers, and other stakeholders. We also run seminars, receptions in newly completed buildings and working lunches.

Information

Included with the membership subscription is a free copy of the monthly Westminster Planning magazine, which keeps members up to date on planning decisions. We also use our website to disseminate news of interest to our members.

Value for money

At £600 we believe members’ ordinary subscriptions offer extremely good value in terms of the benefits described above.
